ATTLEBORO SUPPORT GROUP OFFERS HOPE TO PEOPLE WITH
BIPOLAR DISORDER AND CLINICAL DEPRESSION

Affective disorders such as clinical depression and bipolar disorder (manic depression) affect millions of people every year. Coping with these often-misunderstood mood disorders is difficult enough, but coping alone can be even tougher.

MDDA-Attleboro offers ongoing peer-led support groups that can help people cope with affective disorders through peer support and education. Like the 275 other local affiliates of the National Depressive & Manic-Depressive Association , MDDA-Attleboro provides a supportive environment where people with depression and manic depression can share feelings, experiences, and coping strategies with others in similar situations.

MDDA-Attleboro meetings take place every Tuesday night from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Hillside Adult Day Health Center , 50 Walton Street, Attleboro, MA. Newcomers’ meetings for first-timers take place every week starting at 6:30 pm. Support group meetings are free and open to anyone with depressive or manic-depressive disorders. No pre-registration is required.

MDDA-Attleboro is affiliated with MDDA-Boston, a highly successful MDDA group with over 600 members and a long track record of assisting people with affective disorders to achieve and sustain wellness. We are also sponsored by Community Care Services of Attleboro, a mental health agency whose ongoing support we greatly appreciate!
